You’ll get at least 200 pct. But you are an idiot for taking it without asking for 3 or 400%.

Also pangolin, would an overstaffed airline be junior assigning pilots in both seats? Didn’t think so.
They need to bite the bullet and do the displacement bid to get more ca in dfw and less in phx. Overall we have have plenty but not in the right bases. Crj Ca side. Fo is short.

The same PHX CA’s that are so overstaffed that they are offering premium pay trips to the pilot group because they have run out of reserves? I’m going to go out on a limb and say that the very existence of that email today proves that PHX is not overstaffed either. In fact if they had less they would be CXL flights as well.

One trip because of a wx event does not make a trend.

Is this the same wx event that caused southwest to cancel 30% of their flights?

plus if just one misstep means we have no reserves to cover it then we are not over staffed.

if one weather event causes cascading cancellations due to unavailable crew you are the very definition of understaffed. Reserves are to be used in those situations. That’s the entire point of a reserve.

Hello guys,

What you think about joining MESA lately? Would be good if anyone can give me an update and review of what's going on at the company, like flight times in reserve per month, upgrades etc.

Mesa. Not MESA. It’s not an acronym.

Don’t look at the above reply as an example of our pilot group. I would say we have some excellent people to fly with for the most part. As for flying on reserve I can’t really speak to that. Every FO in IAD right now has a line. I suspect it will be like that for a while. I’ve averaged 85 hours a month since May. I’ve got a total of about 750 hours in 16 months flying. Covid not withstanding I would have easily been double that. If you choose IAD as a base you will fly, a lot. If you’re looking to get hours quickly this is a good place for it as we generally run lean as a pilot group. Outside of covid I rarely saw days where the reserve grid was green until half way through the month when people were finishing IOE.
