I just junior assigned, first time in over 8 years. I never used golden days because I never got ja, but you can bet your sweet a$$ I'll be using GD's now. Reserve, I have to answer (read let go to voicemail then call back) my phone. When I was a line holder no, I never answer the phone. Even in the middle of a trip.

Are folks able to pick up open time out of base?

Say I’m IAH based but live in IAD. Can I pick up IAD open time?

Don’t forget you can turn down a junior assignment per our contract. They just give you a UFJ which doesn’t mean anything. I turned down a JA last week

Someone tell whoever is running crew track to offer 300% before it’s the absolute last minute, now look at them about to cancel a bunch of flights

yes. It’ll just be your job to be in position but I did this a lot starting out since in lived in a base but not my assigned base.
