I wonder if Mesa pilots have stopped to consider that Coodrough or whatever is someone that management pays to post some of this overly-optimistic tripe on the forums hoping new hires will read it and get excited and that current pilots won’t leave...
Anyone that tells you that ALL regionals aren’t about to shrink is selling you snake oil. The numbers don’t add up. Thousands and thousands of pilots will be needed at just the 4 major passenger airlines next year alone. What’s coming isn’t sustainable for the regionals.

It should be interesting to see how things play out. United wants pilots flying their brand to be dedicated to the brand and not fly trips for the competition. If Mesa goes all 175/737, they may very well not need something like Aviate to attract pilots. Basically, according to what United has said, pilots in certain bases flying exclusively for United can be in Aviate. If you bid to another base and fly trips for the competition then you’re out. With all of the hiring that is spooling up at the legacies, I tend to question the value of these programs unless you just have your heart set on a particular company. Outside of that, working for a company with fairly quick upgrades and a good chance of surviving the culling of the 50 seaters in the industry should be new applicants primary focus in my opinion.

What Mesa pilots have been ending up at legacy carriers? Seriously?
Real question is what is with all of the Mesa CRJ900's with no real livery on them? Seem to be seeing more and more of them around. Plus the CRJ900s in PHX with the engines covered and the wheels covered in foil.

The foiled up parked planes are needed checks or are off the CPA.
We went from 63 to 43 on the CPA so 20 planes should be parked or be devoid of the AA livery.

I’m just more surprised that we can win our new CFO in a raffle. JO really doesn’t value his employees no matter what position they hold.
