Lol to the 10th degree.

and we’re about to get our raise too. Don’t worry about everyone else making more or the 150k bonuses the AA wholly owns are getting. They are pricing themselves out of business with all of that. Just wait
Why would AA offer the money to their wholly-owned subsidiaries to price themselves (because they own the companies) out of business? That’s some real circle takes the square logic right there.

I foresee there is going to be a real shortage. If another regional is cheaper, but cannot get pilots to fly their planes, it won’t do them much good.

Bingo, the deciding factor in the survival of individual regional airlines, (really the postponement of complete shutdown) is going to be ability to staff planes, not cost per hour. IMHO there will be no regional airlines in the US within 5 years.

If this trend continues you honestly can’t justify working at Mesa. Just too much money else where. At the bottom for compensation work rules healthcare hotels etc

Ive never considered a lateral move more than now. Only thing is seniority.

If you’re under 40 don’t be afraid to start over somewhere when it comes to seniority. The average age of airline pilots is like 44. You’ll just outlive everyone senior to you. Honestly if you want to move to another company for better pay, more respect, working for a company that cares about you, better qol…shoot. I’m talking myself into leaving now.

My crystal ball gave me a prediction several years ago. It said by mid 2020s or so, the industry will have half the number of regional pilots and one fourth the number of regional carriers. I was called crazy and a fool.

We have had several regionals close their doors. I expect more. United announcing most of their 50 seaters will go away is more of an indication of this. These bonuses are good indicators of what is about to happen.

I stick with my prediction.
