We all know the only way Mesa gets new 175's is if UA buys them.

sorry to burst your bubble there guppy... any new American birds will almost undoubtedly be going to RPA/OO

But I'm glad to see you mesa boys are holding on to some long shot dreams to keep your spirits up!
Or is that JO dangling carrots so y'all don't all try to jump ship?
Eh Mesa was buying 20 ejets before covid made interest rates go up. And Mesa owns about 20 of them. I don’t care about this nearly as much as you do calm down. Is it in the envoy pilot contract that AA must give all e175 to envoy. I honestly don’t know.

I saw the email. Claxxstar needs to stay in his lane. AA may need Mesa to buy them to save them some money. Who knows why they are doing it. But Mesa is like a storm taking over.
I’m going to wear this as a badge of honor.
I might even print and frame it.

You think AA would drop Mesa? You're aspirations to be at AA. You and I both fly American Eagle tales. Anyone around the AA operation knows they don't give two ****s about performance. They care about being the biggest most recognizable airline. Mesa's performance is by far the worst out of any of the American regionals. The main cause is MX delays/cancellations. The 900's are almost the same age as me and they're tired. I don't think Doug can give up on cheap labor that he gets with Mesa. We all know the 900's will need to be replaced soon. The only option right now is the 170/175. So the reality of Mesa getting the 175 on the AA side isn't nearly as far fetched as one would think. Not that I care I won't be around to see it. As you said many of us are trying to jump off the burning dumpster fire ship that is Mesa.

I was told by someone in ERJ class back in April that they were told by a trainer that AA175s were coming.

The 175 agreement at Envoy guarantees all AAG owned 175s to be flown by Envoy. At signing there was a carveout for the Compass 20.
Skywest and Republic owns theirs, that is why those are compliant. If Mesa wants to fly 175s for AAG, they must buy them themselves. If they do, then they can fly 175s for AAG.

Hint, that’s exactly what’s going to happen. Eventually. Mesa isn’t a staffing company. It has money and assets that it owns. There are rumors swirling around from the lips of people in very high places far to consistently to be ignored now. The 900’s are, in fact, on the way out. Personally I think it’s years away but make no mistake. The ball is starting to roll (with significant momentum) towards buying 175’s to replace the 900’s.

AAG also told me i would flow in 4 years and also that if we didn’t sign a 16 year no strike contract they would shut us down.. OH and LAX would always be a base..and bizex guys would not take all the jet upgrades… and on and in… things change… don’t count on something AAG “tells” you…bitter.. yes i am…

Coodrough’s cousin told me they were already parked in the Mesa maintenance hangar and would be going into service in September.
He also said Mesa got a carve out for E2s, so they’re all E2s.
