Mesa 4.0 what’s the latest
#51
Just for some clarity: DFW grid is green tomorrow and for the rest of the month. As reserves are assigned - LCR elevated to SCR, SCR going to ready, anyone given a trip of any kind, even if they come off of it, they are removed from the grid. So daily the grid is expected to go red. That doesn't mean we are not over staffed. The company continues to offer and accept VLOA for February. I do not expect hiring or even recall to resume any time soon.

Mesa has no need for pilots. As soon as the vaccine has traction we can furlough. We are still accepting VLOAs. We have a limited number of aircraft with only a few 737 coming online. Once we are not using reserves to cover for Covid exposure we will be super fat on pilots.

Clown no. Realist yes. Look at the numbers. In all carriers. Vaccines as well. Reality is no one knows what going on right now till tomorrow morning in what will happen. But it is nice to hear diff views and thought. Example what that capt told me yesterday, a FO that’s in ERJ transition right now said one thing a few weeks ago and another now.
Skywest out of no where started classes.
Damn near every pilot at RPA that I kno has said word is March but no one knows anything beyond that.
Mesa cadet recruiter asking us when we would be ready for class.
So no one knows wtf is going to happen. Yes I’m trying to be positive and easier but also have to be real and patient and kno it will happen eventually.

I’m sure there’s something they see that we don’t. I wouldn’t be surprised if trace boomed this spring and summer with people having major cabin fever.

The gird in the short term is red. But it means nothing. Out 3 days plus it’s green. That’s the real grid. Those who think a red grid in the short term means we are short just don’t understand the grid.
