Don’t blame Sun Country. That copy paste of the Sun Country rates was on a contract that was signed in 2015. Those rates were the outlier, bottom of the industry, and awaiting section 6 to renegotiate. When someone comes in and matches them instead of using pattern bargaining with current industry standard rates, that doesn’t make them an outlier anymore.

Sounds like that issue is with management then, not Mesa. Considering our contract is up for renegotiation currently, and the size of the cargo operation being that we only have 2 737s, it’s hard to believe that our contract would seriously be the deciding factor for comparison sake.
With that being said, Atlas is the Mesa of the cargo world. Raise your standards, raise your pay.

This is one of my favorite debates at this airline. You have captains saying “you have no idea how lucky you are, when I was an FO, our rate was a dollar fifty an hour.” Then, the same people argue “new people signing on accepting this pay are the reason we can’t get a better rate.”

This airline is designed at its core to be a revolving door. JO doesn't want lifers he wants pilot 2-5 years then GONE. Much cheaper that way and easier to manipulate a pilot group of guys and gals who know this is just a short stop on their career for some PIC time then off to a better destination.

AQP failures
Hearing there’s an inordinate number of aqp failures. Even some very senior/experienced folks not making it.
Is this being exaggerated or are they cracking down? And if so, why extra hard?
Can anyone who’s been there speak to this and say if it’s hard but fair? Or hard and “out to get you.”
