Thats like really old news bro. They took that off when they increased the pay. It was 20k sign on for a while, 50k sign on bonus for like 2 weeks, then raised pay and 0 sign on. If you want a 50k sign on bonus go to Frontier. They take atp mins, they offer 100/hr and 50k sign on bonus.

Is this due to low FO attrition or just lack of CAs to fly with the FOs?

Both.

There are more FO than CA in every base.

And then....

Low time FO's move to LCC's out of IOE.

High time FO's eligible for upgrade also move to LCC/ACMI

or does the 2-w already take this into factor, and takes off per diem?
anyone have any input?

Your W-2 should have specified what your taxable wages are. If you used the number from the appropriate box, you’re fine. No need to amend. The easiest thing is to use tax filing software, enter the information on your W-2, and let it figure out your taxes for you. You could also re-read the tax form instructions and make sure you entered the correct number from your W-2. But the internet isn’t the best place for tax advice.

Default Rumors about new pilot bases

Wondering if anyone has an inside track on new bases. I’ve heard about DEN, but I’m curious if Mesa will be adding a West Coast base in the near term.

KPHX is as west as you'll get in terms of base.

Could FO on the CRJ side tell me what recurrent consist of? Especially since Mesa moved away from AQP.

I have my first recurrent coming up in a few short months. First time doing it.

What can I expect?

Is it indoc, ground school, systems, all over again? What is on LMS vs what is in the class room? how many hours in the sim are you given before the PC? how many classes? what does the PC checkride consist of? What does the oral consit of, is it the same as initial?

Thanks.

It’s a few days of ground. A practice sim day then the last day is literally the same format as your initial checkride except you do the oral and the flight with a captain who is also doing recurrent. Be prepared and study the limitations study guide since it’s probably been a while since you looked at it. The LMS is good review.
