My Feb 1st class moved to April 5th on ERJ
Got a call that my ERJ Feb 1st class was moved to April 5th. They said they would send us some systems material/cbts to study and when we get there in April we would spend 3 days reviewing systems then test, and continue on. As a former XJT'er that made it half way through training before getting sent home (bc of covid) this has me a little shaky as i try my hand at the airlines again. Should i be concerned? Would they start revoking CJO's? Any advice or wisdom on how to play this out would be helpful and appreciated.

Wouldn’t worry. We just have to many we are paying to sit.

Any intel if Mesa is still hiring new FO’s into the CRJ-900 and E-175? I received a job offer today with multiple class dates, but I didn’t get a priority/choice of aircraft. I’ve read in the past you get to pick. Thanks!

This is just because there is a lack of availability for sims. There is still a need for FOs, but there is currently a 45 day wait after SIT finishes before you get to the sim. This is for all fleet types pretty much. They even trimmed 737 hiring because they can’t get enough sim time that is needed for the amount of pilots they want to hire.
