Actually this is the companies assertion. It allows them to pay the pilots “more” per diem than the flight attendants.

If it’s per diem is it tax free? Since it’s technically used to reimburse a purchase for the company…

Only 2+ day trips and more. Any turns (aka 1-day trips) are taxable.

Interesting because the post I quoted was specifically asking about Per Diem. Nothing in the post I quoted said anything about iPads.
