Well it’s wrong. There are rate increases twice covering 3 years and there is no snap back to current rates.

Well then, so much for that idea.

Thank You for the info.

The LOA says this:
“Beginning 06/15/22 the Company may, at its option, re-hire any Mesa pilot who resigned from the Company before 09/15/22 at his or her seniority prior to resignation. Pilots will have until 12/15/22 to be re-hired.”

I haven’t seen anything else that limits it to resignations since 6/15…this isn’t worded very clearly if that’s the intent.

I can see where you might read it that way, but why else would the date be there at all?

Straight from ALPA. New rates begin Sept ‘22 with a 1% INCREASE in ‘23 and ‘24. 2024 is 2 years away and there’s an INCREASE in 2024. It baffles me why people think it’s a 2 year deal.

If I’ve learned one thing since coming to these boards it’s that a pilot’s reading comprehension is not where I would have expected it to be.

I can’t see them ever getting rid of ready reserve. It sucks to do it, but it’s necessary. There are too many instances where a two hour call out just won’t work. If a pilot uses the commuter clause or if a pilot calls out sick when returning to base is another. (I had to do this recently.) I’ve also used the commuter clause before and I know they used a ready reserve pilot to cover me. In fact, I sat ready until that afternoon when my trip came back to IAH from a turn and picked it back up for the outbound overnight.

How many pilots they need sitting ready is another discussion, but it’s unfortunately needed.

The purpose is to limit it.

I appreciate the empathy and I feel for you so consider this- Republic doesn’t seem to mind. They make it work. No ready reserve. Everyone is two hour call out.
