It's not 9 months, no one I know waited 9 months that I'm aware of since last August class, unless they turned down the call to come back. They told the recent July class to expect to come back in October.
However you made a good point on sim instructors might be leaving to fly line and that could strain things again. Not sure if company wants to pay a 100 bucks for people to sit at home for months.

This had nothing to do with the MEC. Don’t forget the first TA they pushed that was voted down. Pay only for two years and no other QOL improvements. This is JO’s desperate bandaid to stop the bleeding. MEC did nothing.
