Well all the AA wholly-owned airlines are hiring DECs and paying like ULCCs for the next two years. My guess is a mass exodus of Mesa Captains in the next couple of months. I bet there are quite a few in Dulles who would be very comfortable sliding back into a CRJ in DCA or CLT for PSA.

$12 million dollar loss in Q3 released today. JO in the earnings transcript blamed the big bad 1500 hour rule once again for his company’s shortcomings.
Weird how Mesa is the only regional dealing with the shortage! “Im not a dynamic CEO and my only playbook is to pay below market rate to survive!” That’s what you were trying to say in plain English.

Do not listen to these false prophets MESA Airlines is not going anywhere. We are celebrating the 40th anniversary of this great company and with our Master at the helm we are planning for the next 40 look at all those shiney e Jets in the desert and all those snazzy electro birds that are coming soon. It’s no wonder our training pipeline is so full and robust as people really realise this is the destination regional to be at. We are still working on right sizing the airline and getting rid of those goofy goats that voted NO on the TA. Now all that is left is our masters loyal troops and the robust training pipeline that really want to be here or can’t go anywhere where else again. Things are looking up up up as high as those desert skies. Just look at the bid packet tomorrow you will see the attrition has stopped and our mainline partners are loading us will flying as we are the only regional that can do the job!

How close is that to Planespotters? It says 48 of 148 planes are parked, about 1/3?

Does not look very optimistic.
