Things are definitely looking up. New vacancy bid for upgrades, and I caught a glimpse of proposed new hires for the rest of the year. It's a lot.

Do you get a full type or SIC?

can you pick the CRJ 900 or the E Jet?

are they actually hiring?

could an FO or Captain pm me?

I applied and got an e mail back...

can you pick your base? How long would reserve be in Dallas?

thanks!

It's a full type rating.
At this point nobody gets to pick - I expect this to change when we start off the street hiring.
Furloughed pilots are being recalled - it's around 90 pilots, I don't see us hiring off the street for at least 4-5 months.
Reserve in DFW depends - right now it's looking like years. I expect that to shorten up.

We just need you captains to start finding better jobs and leaving. BTW, can I get a recommendation?

If you’ve ever given out one reluctantly, then it was probably for me.

Has anyone taken a look at the open time for April? On the FO side, after schedules came out, there was nothing in open time. Now there’s something open for every day.

So how accurate is this

The sent home pilots of 90 class every 3 weeks class of 30

Then my understanding is the pilot pool of the CJOs with class dates from last spring prob 200 or so but ATP holders will go first

The street atp holders in the pilot pool who didn’t have class dates.

Then cadets with no atp would this be the accurate order

I would expect that order, but not the quantity. I’d be surprised if even half of the furloughees come back being that other higher paying airlines are hiring, and it’s been a year so chances are quite a few found other jobs. As for the other groups, it’s dependent on the needs of the company. If our block hours explode then I’d expect OTS hires to start like they had before the pandemic very soon. They just have to give the furloughed guys the first chance contractually.
