Quick question - does the 13 page limitations/study guide they send out prepare you for the oral check-ride well enough, or should I be looking at more things for the oral? if so, what other resources should I be looking for.

How's the CRJ training at Mesa in terms of instructors and the examiners?
curious as well

MH must be having fun…. He can do VNAV descents for real instead of his made-up ones he insisted on doing in the CRJ even though it went against the CFM which he insisted everyone follow to the letter LOL.
he’s a good guy but all that just struck me as ironic.

Is PSA getting pbs? Maybe their SAP is worth it if I can make reserve livable.
I think you get Captain pay there after 750 hours. Why upgrade? Become a senior FO for a little while.

Or, apply to American so you keep dfw.

Upgrades at Envoy are not voluntary.

I wouldn’t even call it a scheme. I think that’s exactly what AA is hoping happens. Let somebody else weed out the non-hackers then bring on the people who can make it through their first checkride, knowing they’re very unlikely to leave for a ULCC or cargo company as long as you pay them better. Just good business on AA’s part.

The financial benefit of emerging as the best airline in terms of cancellations and delays is worth its weight in gold right now. The flying public is understandably furious right now and if you can create a steady stream of pilots coming through the door it’s going to pay off big time in the coming years, way more than what you’d save trying to keep a company like mesa afloat just wasting countless dollars training people to go somewhere else.

Even if they raise the pay like they did at AAWO, people will still leave for ULCC. The fact is you will make more money at a LCC the first 10 years, than if you stay at a AAWO with the current pay rates permanently, or even with flow.

Know two people so far who left envoy for southwest and another for Frontier.

The AAWOs at this point is to just get your hours (at an increased pay rate) and leave asap. The pay rates may prevent them from being a DEC at another regional like endeavor, but no one is staying there for sure.
