Hold TF up. We only have 4 new hire FO’s on that bid? Yeah this place is on its death bed.

Well on the bright side the training delay is about to become less of an issue. I’d say at least 100 on the bottom of our seniority list aren’t actually going to return when called. At least on the EJET side 4-5 per month is all the training department can handle anyway.

I still dont understand why the company is paying them to stay home. Just dont hire until the training delay is only a month long. Save the $ on salary and hotels.

Because they need to tell a certain story for the investors. Tune in May 9th at 4:30 EST. You’ll see.

Management literally f-ing it up every single step of the way. If there is a devise to make they will make the wrong choice. Like clockwork.

Sounds like a management opinion. It's also showing a reliance on the old criteria of "contracts" somehow implying growth or stability. Contracts are not the criteria currently, and haven't been for many years now. The COVID pause gave managements a breather to catch up on the new paradigm; but apparently you missed that boat.
The new criteria is pilot staffing. The airline that has the staffing will get the flying..... as airlines with contracts they can't staff have their contracts stripped away and given to those who can staff it.
We called this back in 2014-2015.....

Wonder how this clown show management will handle it when the AA contract gets terminated in a few months time. If anyone is here or coming here for a DFW or PHX base get out now. Run away from this terminal dumpster fire of an operation. They’ve abused me so much that I’m ready to turn in my two weeks. Even though this place doesn’t deserve 5 minutes of heads up, much less two weeks.

The AA contract isn’t going anywhere. American has no one else to handle the flying and their mainline operation isn’t any better. Again, as someone who was on the AA side yes it’s bad. It’s also really bad at EVERY regional to marginally different degrees. Training is backed up everywhere. Flying is uncovered and being cancelled/reduced due to it. This summer is going to be help. If you come here get your hours and bail. Don’t wait for PIC. If a ULCC or company you could be happy at for a career offers you a job go there. A lot of you knew SIC’s are incredibly fortunate to have the hiring market we have currently.

You keep saying training is backed up everywhere and it’s bad everywhere but that’s just not true. Anyone who has friends at other airlines can tell you that training is progressing fairly normally at SkyWest, Republic, Envoy and now Cummutair. These companies have all had issues and addressed them while Mesa continues to spiral in the wrong direction. I agree get your hours and get out but the generality of it’s just as bad everywhere else is just not true.
