Read your crew memo. I'd argue this is SSI.

You also have no idea what I’m talking about.

Yet you won’t take the time to explain since we are apparently so misinformed.

Through this entire back and forth with several folks, this is the only thing I’ve commented on - that’s it…

Then I get all kinds of comments about a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy. I’ve only been talking about averages.

A few of my posts in this thread, since I didn’t explain myself to you. Picking up the theme yet?

I said, that even now, that’s not quite accurate. I then specified I was talking about DL, UA, AA. Then I get the latest comment - about cargo snatching no experience guys up. Again, Atlas is a world apart from UPS/FedEx. Yes, Frontier has taken CFIs, they took a shlt-ton of FOs from my regional before Covid, before the latest hiring boom. Yes, some 25yo with no PIC get the call from legacies. All I was saying is that, even now, it’s not the norm - AT LEGACIES: AA, DL, UA, UPS, FedEx. That’s it, nothing more, end of story. Nothing about Atlas, Breeze, Sunny, Frontier, etc.

Get all your ducks in a row for that to happen, sure, but count on that and expect that? - certainly not. As with everything supply vs demand. Frontier recently took a rotor-pure guy. But that just isn’t the norm, not even now.

That's it, nothing more...

=13.33pxLook man, I merely commented about someone implying to a new guy to just fly at all cost, because he’ll be gone in 500 hours. That’s it. I’m allowed to have that opinion. It’s the same as SJS, etc. At the end of the day, I just think it’s a little rash to jump to Mesa vs. SkyWest because he wants to fly right now. Especially as you stated right after this post to me that an August new hire is still waiting on sims with Mesa.

And no, my apps aren’t out.

So a guy gets hired with 4000 121 PIC, do I say, looks like the number is 4000 PIC?

I haven’t explained myself?? Sheesh…. Meanwhile, I have you telling me I’m in the weeds while having jack and $hit experience in the industry and the other dude saying I’m stupid for giving some expectation management. I’m actually trying to help and mentor a little bit in hopes of preventing guys from making rash decisions based on bad intel. Not exactly sure, but looking at some of your posts, it looks like you’re looking at moving to another regional while being brand new to one..? Might say this is the kind of stuff my comments were addressing - so guys don’t make poor choices. Awesome time to be hired most places for sure, but don’t get so into the frenzy that you disregard some of the common basics, because you may be there WAY longer than you think.

That’s all I’ve been trying to get across. That’s it. I’ll stay in my lane now and let you and your buddy tell everyone how it really is. Yeah, and don’t worry, we won’t be flying together any time soon. You’re completely safe.

Mesa seems to have a large bottleneck in training, yet the benefit here is I get to pick the UAX flying. Gojet's plus right now is the update in pay. I live in Nashville and plan to commute. So the question is, which would you choose? Step out of aviate for Republic and take the chance off the street years from now, or go for Mesa/Gojet and stay in the aviate system?
Curios from someone who would one day love to be at UAL, what’s an interview like for someone who’s never flown 121 world?

Default Questions

Hi, I'm wondering about a few things regarding Mesa.

1. If once picks the E175 and has to wait a couple months for a class date, is there any compensation during that time?
2. How is the $20k bonus dispersed?
3. How soon after interviewing does one hear back?
4. When is the background check completed? I don't have anything derogatory on my record, just worry about small things like exact dates etc, would be nice to know when one is "good to go."

Thank you.

1) Your compensation starts on day 1 or 2 of indoc after you pass drug test. The E wait is typically after systems and you will get training pay whilst waiting.
2) lump sum once IOE complete
3) 0-3 days
4) there may be a premilinary one, but you aren’t good to go until maybe a month into training or so.

1. No, you are compensated if you are sent home after systems to wait for SIT/SIM
2. All upon completion of IOE
3. From 0 a 48 hrs depending on who does your interview
4. After you are on property, within a couple of weeks

New sim opens in PHX this Friday. Combine that with the reduced number of FOs starting class the last couple of months and the wait for sims should be coming back down at this point. Obviously that will have to play out but I would anticipate someone starting today could only be waiting for a couple of months.

Thanks a lot for the info. To confirm, they try to get you into indoc/system ASAP but one is not paid until that begins, correct?
