I've been hearing talk of a meeting between AA and Mesa earlier this month. Does anyone know if there is any truth to that? Any ideas what that conversation entailed or what things might look like going forward on the AA side?

Well where do I begin🥴... I've been done since November the company sent out an email in desperation to her new hires to switch over to the CRJ. Some people have taken that opportunity most in Aviate have not. If you're in Aviate it doesn't benefit you whatsoever. The verbiage was " you'll be in the Aviate ecosystem" but they didn't state whether or not your flight time counted towards your Aviate flying time. . That's not a good deal if your entire goal is to go to UNITED. It's hard. It being tied to these "flows" being that everyone is getting hired without them. I've been told classes now are abysmal with hardly any new hires showing up. No word on the contract negotiations for pay. And the training department has no clue when they can get anyone through the E-Jet simulator. It's tough sitting this long due to a companies incompetence to plan accordingly. The new hires are hungry most want to get to work. but hands are tied at the higher levels. I've know more than 10 that have left since my class started. So it doesn't seem like it's getting better. Wish I had good news on here but nope same old same. Hurry up and wait.

It anyone knows anything pertinent please.

Starting indoc Wednesday. Let's see what the word is. My CFI buddies who finished indoc and systems about a month ago are hoping for late spring but no word yet. Ours is a 175 class about 25 people.

It's been abysmal Thus far. I'm a part of the October class still waiting. The company' has not projection on the start of sims for those going in the 175. This week they sent an email to us stating" you can switch to the CRJ. If you're in Aviate you're still in the program". They forget to mention the time flying under AA metal means nothing so you'd be wasting a year of your time doing this switch. The E Jet sim we have no update on it. They're completely lost I feel. And it's all self inflicted and poor planning. New hires are hungry and wand to get to work. But we can't due to the lack of sim and Instructors. Training is so inconsistent people are failing over the delays in their sims. Many have jumped ship and left for better places. It sucks to see because everyone I've encountered has always been a great person and co-worker. But the delay is brutal. I've had a Buddy from the July class just finish his checkride a week ago. So that tells me they have no idea where anyone stands right now.

500 hours of line flying will get you to cargo Carriers who have the same fleet as the majors to an extent. You will get better pay there.

gone are the days of needing pic time. If your apps aren’t out. You don’t have a say in my verified comment. I’ve checked, I know 13 pilots that have left and went to ulcc & cargo carriers without 121 pic time. Of the 13, 3 had more than 1000 121 time.

6 months on average. I’m in contact with an august new hire and he hasn’t hit the sim.

No Sim in sight! I'm a part of the October Class they have mentioned nothing about a class date. They keep hitting us with the IDK it's unprofessional and getting Old! They even tried to email new hires to jump over to the CRJ, and if you're in aviate you could stay in the program. But the best part of it all is the fact none of that CRJ (AA) flying counts toward your time to make the legacy jump. It's honestly laughable at this point they havent figured it out. New hires are hungry they want to get started but the company just wont make any moves to make people get through training. And don't even bother asking about the pay raise that is always an "its coming" once again no transparency. Its a disservice to any pilot coming here and it quite honestly is insulting to our intelligence. I don't think it will get better anytime soon and it hurts to say. If someone knows anything better let me know. As of now new hires getting started is bleek.
