Mesa 4.0 what’s the latest

? Obviously it says we can’t go into RVSM.. but the requirements were always Autopilot, Altitude alerter, 2 air data computers, and 2 transponders (only 1 needed to be operational) …
I’ve seen an MEL for a transponder in-op with no RVSM allowed.. and the radar altimeter was MEL’d on a plane recently and it said no RVSM.

I think his point was that the MELs didn’t make sense with their restrictions. A radalt isn’t helping at 350.

Have a class date for March 22nd and ATP on March 9th. have interviews with skywest and PSA in the next 2 weeks, is MESA really as bad as people make it out to be. Seems like Mesa has some great people behind it but just gets abused by management.. is a new contract really in the works and if you were a fresh 1500 hour pilot would you consider Mesa as an option. Thanks Guys and Gals

Explore all options. Mesa and all other airlines are having a training issue. The wait sucks right now but could change who knows. I've been waiting and my class was in October. As far as pay the Alpa reps told us expect something in January or February but it's a regional don't hold your breath. I've been told reserve is minimal here and the wait for IOE is about a week where as other places I've heard it's about 4-6 weeks so it sums it up you'll wait either in the front end or the back. Mesa isn't the greatest but you fly a ton if you want

Yeah man you're not going to escape a backlog anywhere unfortunately. You'll get screwed in the beginning or then end of training. Or you'll sit reserve a long time. Like this regional game is a grind. But get through it man get your time and leave money is there to be made. 300% is sent out weekly at Mesa not many are taking it from what I've been told. They're pressing the company to increase the pay to be competitive like the other regionals. I'm with you I'd like to see anything about $45 but right now it's just hurry up and wait. When your number is called pass all the stupid crap and fly. 1500 and and 500+121 time you can go anywhere you want these days

You’ll fly your ass off here. Understaffing and running lean is the way JO likes it. He’d rather run lean and fork out the 300% then properly staff. Life could suck any all the regionals. Your pick should be based off being able to live in base and how fast it’ll take you to hold a line. If you like the bases Mesa offers and don’t mind flying your ass off then come on over. It’s an overall excellent pilot group. Management doesn’t like pilots regardless of where you go. Our operation on the American side is chaotic and makes zero sense. We’ll see what happens there. This industry is very difficult to predict. If you can get on and flying the line at Skywest quick I’d pick them over us.
