Anyone know the deets about AA and Mesa? It seems our operation is melting down quicker than Chernobyl. Rumor is the company is meeting with AA sometime this month about our contract, possibly losing it?

Doubtful. No one else can take on additional flying right now

this is true, we are an absolute dumpster fire right now. But everyone else is either also one or will be in short order. This is an industry wide problem and not a single regional will escape its touch.

I'm at OO. For the last 5 days we've been cancelling roughly 20% of our daily departures.

? Obviously it says we can’t go into RVSM.. but the requirements were always Autopilot, Altitude alerter, 2 air data computers, and 2 transponders (only 1 needed to be operational) …
I’ve seen an MEL for a transponder in-op with no RVSM allowed.. and the radar altimeter was MEL’d on a plane recently and it said no RVSM.

Just a screw up with the new MEL book. There’s a decent amount of errors in it. It’s gonna take some time to fix all of them.

Question are the cancellations evenly split or are they mostly on the AA side?
