I just finished AQP and was told that they're holding classes of 10 till everyone is recalled and trained...

Flight Ops Recruiting Manager on LinkedIn:
"We are resuming First Officer interviews soon!
Updated FO hiring minimums:
-ATP or R-ATP mins
-FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit
-Valid passport with the ability to travel in/out of the US without restrictions
-IFR current
-First Class medical"

That would assume no drastic changes to flight schedules and if everyone furloughed decides to come back. Considering all the other regionals hiring, I’d be surprised if many of our furloughees come back.

Classes of 10 - can have them all in class in two months. It’s not one class a month. We were running weekly classes pre pandemic.

This just isn't true. There was a steady flow of weekly (sometimes biweekly so every two weeks) of new hire classes. Things had not slowed pre-pandemic. Yes people in certain bases could be on reserve for a year but seriously, historically that is not a long time.

We had classes of 20-30 every week or two prior to the shutdown. Don’t know where this hiring freeze pre-pandemic is coming from.
