Yeah your buddy isn’t giving you the full story no one here is buying it. Mesa doesn’t really roll like that. No one was getting in trouble for sick calls when we were understaffed and paying 300% I don’t see why they would care now.

I don’t fly there. My friend who does has an odd strain of covid, has fluid in his lungs and can’t get out of bed. The chief pilot told him directly, they don’t gaf, he has to come back to work. All they say is 10 days off and you can come back even with a positive test. Not sure how the Union could help. But they’re threatening to fire him and gave him UFW for the entire month. I’ve tried telling home to use what sick time he has, but he said the company won’t allow it as he’s already gotten a UFW.
anyone reading this, do NOT go to Mesa. Even if it’s last resort. They directly said they don’t care if someone spreads a new strain of covid around America just as things are starting to improve in the industry. They treated employees like $hit when things were good, pre covid. Now it really goes to show you how the company truly is. DO NOT go to Mesa.

Not only are MAG pilots not allowed to work with a positive test -- but they can't work with a PENDING test. Many pilots and FAs have been pulled offline more than once for an entire two weeks for simply being exposed. Many pilots and FAs have been out for over a month after a two week exposure OFL followed by a positive test (adding another two weeks).

I try to stay out of the APC gutter, but this post is 100% EMPHATICALLY untrue. I'm not calling you a liar -- but you might want to fact check your friend.

Interesting, the AA contract is winding down? That’s news to me.
if your goal is stay 135 for the rest of your life, go for it. If you wanna move to a 121 major, it’s not very smart. Oddly enough though, I still made more in 2020 than quite a few of my buddies at the higher paying regionals. And no I didn’t really work all that much extra.
and it sounds like you quit. Why waste your time checking back in a Mesa forum?

Are you under some type of illusion that 135 guys don’t get hired at majors? I was at a regional 121 carrier, now I’m at a 135 flight department. Our attrition is guys who go to good majors (SWA, Delta) or higher paying 135 operations. The majors like 135 guys because we are customer service oriented and are use to doing multiple tasks for a flight, not just take a left when we enter the plane once we have our coffee. I’m not saying the regional pathway isn’t a legitimate way to the majors, but if you think going 135 prevents you from moving to the majors you’re mistaken...
