if your goal is stay 135 for the rest of your life, go for it. If you wanna move to a 121 major, it’s not very smart. Oddly enough though, I still made more in 2020 than quite a few of my buddies at the higher paying regionals. And no I didn’t really work all that much extra.

and it sounds like you quit. Why waste your time checking back in a Mesa forum?
Revisit this post a few years from now. CRJ’s are diminishing within the US regional network as they age.
E-175’s are replacing them. The American contract is not going away, but shrinking to a much smaller size.

Giving back to help fellow pilots. Hate to see good pilots being taken advantage of. Sounds like you don’t feel like your being taken advantage of. My post is for the other pilots.

We shrunk for American, and now we're expanding again. And....what makes you think we can't fly e-175's for American?

14 days off then you can return to work without a negative test. Also, they don’t notify your colleagues that were possibly exposed because of yourself... lol

Mesa has never really been strict on calling out sick you shouldn’t have a problem. Contact your regional chief if you do and get a doctors note

I’ve tried telling home to use what sick time he has, but he said the company won’t allow it as he’s already gotten a UFW.

anyone reading this, do NOT go to Mesa. Even if it’s last resort. They directly said they don’t care if someone spreads a new strain of covid around America just as things are starting to improve in the industry. They treated employees like $hit when things were good, pre covid. Now it really goes to show you how the company truly is. DO NOT go to Mesa.
There's definitely more to this story

That’s interesting. I was taken off line due to covid exposure. (Paid) After the ten days, HR called and asked if I was okay returning to work or would like more time off.

I don’t have a dog in the fight, but this story doesn’t pass the smell test.

How could they not allow him to use sick time? Maybe your friend should consider taking a medical leave of absence if he’s really that sick?

Call the FAA and Union, you are not legal to fly sick period. To be honest I don’t believe this, but if true save all documentation handle all calls through recorded company lines.
