and as we close in the vast majority of those days will go red. As has every day so far this month. Fact is this company is properly, if not slightly understaffed, in DFW. PHX is probably a different story, I don’t have their grid. But I would not be surprised to see a displacement out of PHX if the reduced schedule becomes more permanent there. The fact we haven’t seen one yet makes me think that HQ thinks the PHX flying will return soonish. But DFW is absolutely not overstaffed. In fact we are pretty close to the number of line holders we had in winter of last year pre pandemic.

Interesting to me is that PSA is missing from Dfw at this point. The mix is all in AAs hands.

I think it’s simpler than that. AA appears to be right sizing the flying based on the seats. So what was an air bus is now a 76 seat jet. A 76 seater is now a 145 or a 700. Now that flying is coming back things are shifting. Mesa IS trying to equalize the flying as they should. I’ve seen more Phx flying out of DFW recently.

We are down to 3 available reserves in DFW on the CA side as of 7:15am. Yet some people will feed you the lie that we are “overstaffed”. Overstaffed my ass.
Update. It is now 2 as of 7:19am. But by all means go ahead and keep spreading the lie of being overstaffed.
