When will training restart
#271
I think that’s somewhat normal right now considering lots of the former IAD CRJ guys are still going through transition training, so they need guys to have higher credit lines. But the lines are starting to look normal again, I have a 90 hour line next month, and we don’t have enough guys sitting reserve if me, a line holder, is getting called in to work on off days.

We are def CA heavy. At some point it’ll be hire more FO or downgrade but as I said the co doesn’t want to open that downgrade door right now because it’s a system wide displacement bid. CRJ guys see the writing on the wall and will run to the UA side and that’ll force jr ejet to the crj at least short term.

I flew with a pretty senior CA the other day who said he was also getting calls to come in on off days. It doesn’t really seem like any normal staffing metric can be depended on right now. We could be on the verge of furloughs and cancelling flights due to staffing all in the same week.

same at envoy. Regular staffing levels at an airline is actually stretched thinner than you’d think. Throw in a few furloughs (which I know yalls were only trainees, but still that was gonna be some “relief”) and it gets tight. Too tight for comfort. We are in an absolutely strange limbo of all the majors anticipating more federal relief funding, and more airlines possibly shutting down due to lack of travel. I’m anticipating a huge rebound in the fall. As long as we can ride it out through summer I think it’ll start looking prettier.
