As PF I used Charts+, used the briefing instructions sent by Ian and was able to get the job done but with serious misgivings. The instrument approach charts were OK and least problematic on Charts+. The runway lighting legends were almost impossible to decipher. The airport diagrams and supplemental information was awful. It's telling that I asked our APD doing the MV to look up the vis minimums for Rwy 31L at KJFK and it took him a bit of digging to find it. Some airport charts are missing taxiway annotations .. a pilot deviation waiting to happen.
Unlike Jepp which plots ALL the points on a departure (eg GUMBY3), Charts+ only plots a direct line from IAH to GUMBY. if you try to built the individual waypoints, the software doesn't recognize them (they're just not in the database eg CRTMN, DWSUN)
The arrival charts were a really tough read; consider that they frequently change arrivals on us coming into IAH, it's an altitude bust waiting to happen.
All of these were communicated to the APD. Once we moved on to the LOFT portion, I switched to Jepp with the remark "Thank you God".
My opinion here, Jepp is getting more and more user friendly as it borrows from the Foreflight interface. Charts+ is a disaster waiting to happen. Not a whole heck of a lot of support from the pilot ranks for Charts+. Even the FAA overseers are rumored to not be big fans of Charts+

Completely irrelevant. It’s name is mud. Why should I trust my life on a product that has been so poorly made that when it was used in a 121 environment it was completely unstable and unusable? How is that even remotely acceptable here? We are flying real people around and you expect us to put our trust for not only my life but also for the 80+ people behind me in that app? Sorry, as the saying goes I wouldn’t even trust it with a dozen eggs.

They are still a cluttered mess. Charts in Mexico still missing fixes. You notice most of the SIDS/STARS don’t have a textual box like the Jepp? There’s a reason most airlines and corporate flight departments use Jepp and not Charts+....

Cluttered? Some yes.
Textual boxes? Who cares because where omitted they are unnecessary.
You need to bring some real legitimate criticism if you want to end the madness. Like erroneous runway headings and elevations. Totally missing information on raised minimums when certain lighting is Inop. Completely missing gate and taxi information. Totally outdated pictures of special airports.

Mexico is not missing fixes. They are depicted differently as in reality they are NOT fixes. Jepp depicts them as such but they are not.
