Needs to be improved definitely. I've been using them exclusively with Jepp in the background and my FO's as well. I've been using them for months. I send feedback to Navblu and emails to Mesa with my discrepancies and issues. They are not junk. They need to be cleaned up and items need to be fixed this is true. I prefer Jepps but these are not junk. I encourage people to use them consistently and send data back. Be professional use the charts as asked. Send data back especially if it's negative. 24 years of Professional flying I'm no idiot. Most FO's I fly with still don't use them or even try. Other Captain I talk to don't same thing. Use the charts. Be professional give the "negative" feedback and fill out ASAP reports if needed. That's a professional pilot not an idiot.

I’ve used them plenty, and done NUMEROUS reports. A few times if I didn’t have JeppFD I would’ve been SOL. The app literally dumped my data in flight more than once. The charts a cluttered CF. It’s the typical Mesa fashion. It’s all about the $$.

The thing crashes for WEEKS, as in completely unable to open and it took them WEEKS, Not just a week, to fix it. It’s garbage, pure and simple. Also the thing is a power hog, the charts are nonsensical runway lengths are in meters first and the feet? Layout is a mess to brief with. Minimums will be given to you in the lowest possible with notes indicating what is required to get it that low instead of the highest possible with having a note telling you it can get lower with use of AP/FD to DA act.

You should have the recruiter send you screenshots to see if you want to risk your cert trying to interpolate those charts while green going into LGA with a new captain from the west coast.

There are some good things in it. Runway lengths on the approach plates including adjacent runways. More consistent layout. Tower hours (manually adjust for DST though). Progressive monitoring altitudes.

That said, enroute is deficient and impossible to use when having to fly non RNAV routes. Taxi and parking diagrams are missing information that is essential to safe ground operations and runway headings differ from Jepp by a few degrees in many cases.

A lot of the issues you cite have been addressed and corrected. Rwy lengths and minimums for example. The brief is actually easier than Jepp.
