Hey, Fred, where were you when I was walking the line for the United Rubber Workers in '73. Or with the Brewery Workers in '78. Or with the Aluminum Workers in '79? Don't try to compare Union credentials with me. Because I've been in the trenches with real labor groups, not pilot Associations.

C'mon Major Limeface,
Where's the answer to why you went to a crap carrier like CAL in the late 80's? You undercut me buddy, at the time, allowing CAL to get a foothold. If you had a union then, what were the credentials and background of the reps? Perhaps a few of the guys that pushed out the real CAL ? Man, I just don't get you. EAL went down partly because all their profitable assests were shifted to CAL. You have any heartburn from that? You have any heartburn working for a substandard wage for all those years?
Was than a pin drop I just heard? Real friggin easy to dump on nonunion upstarts when finally after 20 years CAL is in the driver's seat. Did you contribute to the EAL assesment or did you just reap the benefit of a good career off the backs of the original CAL and rEAL pilots? You're dismissed major.
But sir, if you went to work for CAL after ALPA was revoted in, you have my sincerest apology.

You know what, I may be really mistaken. I look at your profile and it says 737NG CA. Guess I thought that meant CAL. But on second blush it probably means captain. So my apologies for that major. Then we may have some disagreements but you are walking the walk. But I still say, by showing these guys the benefits that can be reaped from a negotiated contract with appropriate protections of work rules instead of dumping on them, it gets everyone ahead of the game. Let these newbies (fng's) see how good you have it. And maybe someday you will envy their contract.

No way would I fly at world without a union. Just not a big fan of ALPA. But i know the point is having one is better than not having one, and i agree with you. Teamsters have our flavor too..
