Let's all go looking for links Poindexter!

JB consistently does well in satisfaction surveys and articles. If this is news to you time to wake up.

From Consumer Reports 2015: Best and Worst Airlines to Fly

More than 14,000 coach passengers and some 6,000 first-class passengers who took a domestic nonstop flight told us their opinions about their airline's seat width and comfort, legroom, room for carry-on bags, cabin and restroom cleanliness, check-in ease, service from the airline staff, in-flight entertainment, and transparency about fees.

You'll have a more comfortable trip without springing for an upgrade if you fly with the airline at the top of our coach Ratings: JetBlue. It earned a higher score than any other airline for its coach cabin's seat comfort and legroom.

JetBlue, Southwest, and Virgin America received favorable Ratings for their check-in, their staff service, and upfront disclosure about their fees. (Find out why it's time to strike a blow against airline fees.) Passengers dinged Southwest and Virgin America, however, for their cramped and uncomfortable seats. Yet apart from JetBlue, all coach services rate poorly in these areas.

Someone posted his earlier but it needs repeating. Basically a horrible way to ensure VA doesn't eat into your margins, just spend $4,000,000,000.00 !!!!!' And eliminate them, lol. So rather than Wall St be ****ed off because your margins decrease do to competition, you saddle the company with enormous debt. Yeah, makes perfect sense

Hardly. My hourly pay is higher than the top of JBLU's pay scale and I have more pilots below me than JBLU's entire seniority list.

Thanks for the laughs.
It's the attitude you have when you post. Good for you, I am glad you make more than all of us but I still don't understand the need to post about JetBlue over and over. Maybe I should go over to the Delta thread and post about stuff I don't know. The problem is I don't want to look like an idiot or come across as a jerk.

I've already pointed out that the claims here about B6 at LGB are untrue. According to the city of Long Beach, you guys aren't even using all of your allocated slots. Why is .
I think you answered your own question.

JetBlue’s under-utilization of its slots continue to negatively impacted airport revenues
by reducing airline fees collected and driving down parking, ground transportation and concession revenues.

Forgive me for my hubirs but, it's called putting pressure on LGB to get what we want. Just like every airline does. Should we talk about the use of small RJs in LGA to hold slots? They want the 190 to be able to use the commuter slots and they want a customs facility. But I am sure you already knew that.

There is actually a lot of great perspective in this article but you can't ignore that 2.6 billion dollar price tag; I think a liquidation is unlikely but not impossible. Alaska effectively eliminated two threats in the acquisition, obviously Virgin, but also JetBlue in the short term. Allowing JetBlue to purchase Virgin and spread into the west (with their Alaska-like product) would put a lot of heat on Alaska in their home turf. JetBlue was a great merger candidate for Virgin, Alaska saw the writing on the wall and put up the cash to ensure a fruitful marriage didn't occur.

I think everyone should just wait and see B6's response out west if any. Trying to know what the corp types are planning is sorta like trying to pick the winning Powerball ticket.

Forbes Welcome
They didn't spend $4 billion. They offered $2.6B cash and the rest is assumed for leases and such. Virgin also has over half a billion in cash on hand so that also goes to Alaska. Frontier and Spirit will also merge and the only question is who is going to acquire the other? And am I reading the previous page correctly that Jetblue pilots are starting to feel as if they are being trolled. they're the ones to talk after the first 30 pages of absolute crap.

As far as Spirit & F9 I'll guess we'll have to wait and see. I wonder how their IPO will go. Will be interesting to see what their Market Cap looks like 6months to a year after. I'm sure that's when they will start prepping for the inevtible merger.

I do love the hubris as far as having a superior product. If you want to continue to believe that, don't open/read this link to the March 2016 Air Travel Consumer Report. [URL]https://www.transportation.gov/sites/dot.gov/files/docs/2016MarchATCR.pdf[/URL
It is a superior product for the sweaty masses in coach (most people). The big 3 love to talk up the only product they care about (first/business) like more than 10 people/flight get to experience it. Everyone else aboard your planes are miserable. Not your fault, but your management has written them off and crammed as many as they could fit behind the "real" passengers.
