The terminal in LGB looks like it's been funded by GARB and PFC, not by JetBlue so I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. http://www.lgb.org/civicax/filebank/...px?BlobID=2670

As far as JBLU complaining about LGB resistance to more flights, JBLU isn't even utilizing all of its slots now. How exactly is that constraining JBLU?
The Airline cost per passenger for FY 16 will increase over FY 15 due to an airline rate increase at the
beginning of FY 16. JetBlue’s under-utilization of its slots continue to negatively impacted airport revenues
by reducing airline fees collected and driving down parking, ground transportation and concession revenues.
At this time, JetBlue has no intentions of increasing its number of flights except for modest increases for a
couple of the summer months.

Wonder why JBLU's hated by LGB residents? Because they don't follow the rules. LB4D:Long Beach 4th District BLOG: JetBlue noise violations up 500%

You seem to have a fascination with JetBlue, why is that?

For $4 billion dollars JetBlue did not miss the boat. It was a prudent decision. ALK has no choice as they are facing an existential threat by DAL. ALK failed to grow and now had to pay the huge price tag of VX to remain relevant.

Probably wasn't hired or jealous. Has to be one of the two because he sure thinks he knows it all about them.

ROTFLMAO! Responding to some kool aid drinkers' fantasy-based posts makes it fascination? No, simply rebutting silliness with facts.

Hardly. My hourly pay is higher than the top of JBLU's pay scale and I have more pilots below me than JBLU's entire seniority list.

Thanks for the laughs.

Your position seems to be that there is no way forward on the west coast for B6. Mine is that a superior product at a competitive price will find a way to penetrate the market. (So to speak.)

I believe it was stated that UAL sold one gate at SFO for $120M. For $2.5 B we could buy 20 gates. Or 10 gates and the planes to service them.

LOL! Some of your coworkers are posting untrue statements. I have no problem correcting them, including posting links to show them that they're wrong.

How about you be a 'troll' and correct them when they're posting incorrect information?

I've already pointed out that the claims here about B6 at LGB are untrue. According to the city of Long Beach, you guys aren't even using all of your allocated slots. Why is that?

As far as access to LAX, how many gates are not being used? Zero. So how do you plan on getting gates there? Buying Allegiant?
If LAX isn't a big deal, you guys can expand at LGB. Or at least use all of the slots that you've been allocated.

I do love the hubris as far as having a superior product. If you want to continue to believe that, don't open/read this link to the March 2016 Air Travel Consumer Report. https://www.transportation.gov/sites...6MarchATCR.pdf

It was $120M for two gates at Dallas Love Field. I doubt that United's planning on selling any gates at SFO.
Can JBLU find gates at SFO? Maybe. But it's a heckuva lot easier to buy some planes than find free gates at major airports right now.
