Well most of the guys I've been talking to hired pre 2007 feel like I do. I'm sorry to burst your bubble but there are 1600 guys at JB that will fight anything other than post 2007 integration. No I would not expect integration like that with delta or American or United. Ask yourself this. Would we get it nope no friggin way. We will see how this fight turns out. I will be in it for sure along with the top 1600 guys.
I few things I would like to see off the top of my head:
- Maybe a 4 to 5:1 integration
- Some form of protection for the 190 guys
- No displacements
- No fences once the list is finalized. I see no reason why a JB pilot shouldn't be able to bid LA if there is an opening and likewise for VA guys trying to get back east.

This rumored B6/VX merger is hardly a done deal. I personally wouldn't rule out the 800 pound gorilla in the room- Delta. They've got deep pockets and love buying things. They have also shown interest in VA in the past. JetBlue pilots and Virgin pilots are in the same boat at the moment for the most part; paying ALPA dues but no contract and substandard pay and bennies. An ALPA stye relative seniority merger of the two lists would have virtually no impact on QOL or career expectations for 90% of the merged group so let's not let a few selfish cry babies at the top of the lists spoil unity for the rest of us. The main goal for both pilot groups if the merger happens is the same goal we should have if the merger doesn't happen- working together to get the best possible CBA we can get from management. That goal will improve things for everyone instead of doing management's job of "divide and conquer" for them. Squabbling over the details of a SLI for a rumored, not even announced merger is just silly.

Is this thread for real. No one knows it's even Jetblue. If it is why not focus on a JCBA first and worry about the list later. The list cannot be integrated until there is a JCBA. That gives both pilot groups leverage to get what they should in a contract. Arguing about an imaginary seniority list right now makes everyone involved look extremely petty. Focus on the contract! SCOPE!

So for you and the pre 2007 guys you want DOH. But that would not be far to the 190 guys so they get protected. So what I am reading is the the senior JB guys need to get protected and the junior JB guys need to be protected. Where does that leave the VA guys? I can pretty much assure you that there is no way any arbitrator is going to insert all of the VA list in the bottom 1/2 of the JB list. I am guessing you will see some sort of relative or maybe a slightly weighted relative interrogation. Someone bidding 1/2 way up the CA or FO list shouldn't get a "windfall" nor should they get decimated. This is why the USAir merger went so bad. All the 20+ year East guys wanted all the AmWest guys to be below them.

no we should be protecting all jetblue pilots with fences. I think 5/7 to 1 after august of 2007 is perfectly fair. Ask an alaskan pilot if they would accept relative seniority. Nope won't happen. I did hear a rumor that alaskan and jet blue were looking at it as a fire sale. Neither acquiring the airline just as orders routes and some gates. Let's hope for that.

You'll get what the arbitrator gives you, and you'll like it!
