So no, DOH wouldn't really be "fair" to JetBlue FOs. The same way DOH wouldn't be "fair" for VX CAs.

I've been through the SLI drill 3 times so far, so sit at the table, pour a stiff one, ante up and wait for the cards to be dealt. Cover your cards and try to hold a poker face, OK? Maybe we can both get real pilot uniforms out of this!

top 924 slots go to JB pilots.
The next 44 VA captains are ratio'd with the next 407 JB pilots.
The next 80 VA captains are ratio'd with the next 758 JB pilots.
The next 223 VA captains are ratio'd with the next 1131 JB pilots.
The first 54 VA FOs are ratio'd with the next 80 JB pilots.
The rest of the 199 VA FOs are stapled to the bottom of the JB FO list.
The pilots hired at JB after the merger is announced are next.

I think we should turn the seniority lists upside down so that the junior FO's are all holding captain, and then we should staple all of the captains to the bottom of the upside down turned seniority list, and make a 65 year fence and then form a new union called APLA.

Seriously, guys are getting way too worked up over this way too soon.

Who said anything about merging seniority lists. The two carriers are in contract negotiations. They will be used as a whipsaw.

Excellent point. Just found it weird that at least here, no VX guy wrote about screwing JetBlue, but several JetBlue guys came guns blazing about AirTran/Southwest or staple, staple, staple.

And why do you think that is? No one is talking about stapling anyone. But this wouldn't be a relative seniority integration either....

I get it's all speculation.....but that's what this board's all about anyways most of the time, right?
