It's a pain, but even if there's a 1% I'll need to use AA as a backup, I try and make a listing anyway. It's saved me several times, when my 1st choice was late or got bumped and I could just run over to AA with piece of mind.

Could mean just offline non-rev and jumpseat travel but sure seems all-inclusive.

Only thing I have heard about is buddy passes so far. If they do ban the jumpseat should make for an interesting few days, cancellations would skyrocket I would think.

Right now, it's just for offline travel. Over half the airline (at least the LUS side) would shut down if we couldn't jumpseat.

That's what I kind of thought. But then again, logic never seems to be abundant during these sort of things.

Directly from American Airlines:

"Guest Pass Travel Restriction
To ensure our colleagues can focus on revenue customers during PSS cutover,
guest pass (D3) travel will be restricted beginning Friday, Oct. 16, 2015,
through Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015. The exception to this embargo is a guest
pass rider traveling with an employee or retiree."

Good luck guys, Wow. When I was doing 4 day domestic trips my record was 8 weeks. All flights oversold and in the Jumpseat 8 weeks in a row in and out of base.

Just to clarify:

The AA j/s is most definitely not "banned"... The only ban is the D3 embargo (friends and family.) You can still j/s with us during those days and we will be going out of our way to help out as much as we can. Just be ready for some glitches.

Somehow the Delta committee has bad information. They are putting out there will be no offline non revenue travel Jumpseat or zed allowed. The company has also put that out and states they were told that by American. Let's hope we can get this clarified.

Thanks Sailing, I'll clarify on my end. But I'm 100% sure the j/s itself is not banned.
