War,

Sorry you got your head slightly bit off.

I don't know if I buy their reason right now cuz we have been bamboozled quite a few times in the past. I think they just want to code share more of the top end. To soon to tell I guess.

The way I see it were putting planes where they make more money. Seems like some can't see the forest for the trees. Every announcement that comes out were told we're flying more hours, delaying aircraft retirements, and increasing mainline flying.

That's not to say fight with JV scope isn't important etc. But come on this news isn't the sky falling...

Forgot one option - posturing for the contract negotiations?

Kind of amazing that a strong US dollar would hurt US airline pilots.

Just saw 5, yes 5, Virgin 747s last night in MCO all departing for the UK within about 3 hours of each other. Some were doubled up on cities departing about 45 minutes apart. So sad.

Seattle's fine. The trouble is in Japan. They've decided to slowly stop American carriers from using Tokyo as a hub. Coincidentally, new aircraft with increased range are making Tokyo hubs unnecessary.

Fight's on for China. That's the big prize.
Seattle is well positioned. There are going to be epic battles for route authority. Delta, United, American. Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle.
It'll be interesting to say the least.

When you ask if there is trouble in the Seattle paradise, are you trying to suggest that Alaskan is beating us in Seattle and that is the cause of our reduction in International Capacity for the winter?

Seems like an awefully skinny line of logic. I haven't seen Seattle mentioned at all in regard to the announced reduction. But you could be right.

Do I need to repost the original topic about how Delta announced it's cutting international travel? My post has nothing to do with Alaska, you guy's are so spun up to attack it's amazing.
