These douchebags will sell us out in a NY minute, just ask Emirates why they are building a Children's Hospital in DC. Money talks, BS walks.
It's a sad fact that if you want to play in DC, you have to pay. They make the rules. We have to buy as much 'support' as possible, or we may end up just like the Cruise Ship industry.
I've been giving to ALPA PAC since being a new hire. I don't like it, but it's the only game in town, so we have to pay too, or we will be replaced in short order.

But IMO, a union PAC that supports the people who I disagree with ideologically on almost every topic does not serve my best interest to give money to. Schumer calling for an investigation further solidifies my personal opinion.
I would rather donate my money to the candidates of my choosing who I believe will help my situation to the greatest degree. No party/candidate/representative will be perfect, far from it. I just like to control where my money goes, not leave it up to somebody else.
If you look at the candidates and their party affiliation who ALPA-PAC supported, it has slowly progressed from almost all left leaning, to a much more diverse and almost equal party division. It is getting better.

How many of you .MIL guys enjoying watching these guys cut your funds? How many of us airline pilots enjoy seeing the companies we worked for get squeezed for every cent? Anybody read the article on Uniteds landing fees in EWR? Those folks getting your PAC money are the same ones stabbing us in the back while pulling the rug from under us.
Oh...and as far as voting is concerned, people should be allowed to vote unless they have graduated high school at a minimum. I'd like to add land/property owner (not renting), and not receiving government assistance as well. I'm dreaming...i know.
