So, PAC throws the money you guys donate away on names with a baseless reason other than these mirror foggers sign a little piece of paper saying they will help pilots? when in turn they just go after the companies who are finally making money after years of bleeding? What do you think the companies are going to do if they get hit with a higher tax, or a new tax on their fees? We know from history they go after labor.
I guess most of this is directed at the fact that I can't stand Schumer and a whole lot of other names on that list.

It's a sad fact that if you want to play in DC, you have to pay. They make the rules. We have to buy as much 'support' as possible, or we may end up just like the Cruise Ship industry.
I've been giving to ALPA PAC since being a new hire. I don't like it, but it's the only game in town, so we have to pay too, or we will be replaced in short order.
This book should be required reading before voting:
Parliament of Wh0res: A Lone Humorist Attempts to Explain the Entire U.S. Government Paperback – January 7, 2003
by P. J. O'Rourke (Author), Andrew Ferguson (Foreword)
Called "an everyman's guide to Washington" (The New York Times), P. J. O'Rourke's savagely funny and national best-seller Parliament of *****s has become a classic in understanding the workings of the American political system. Originally written at the end of the Reagan era, this new edition includes an extensive foreword by the renowned political writer Andrew Ferguson -- showing us that although the names and the players have changed, the game is still the same. Parliament of *****s is an exuberant, broken-field run through the ethical foibles, pork-barrel flimflam, and bureaucratic bullrorfle inside the Beltway that leaves no sacred cow unskewered and no politically correct sensitivities unscorched. "Highly pungent and wickedly accurate observations ... [from a] boisterous, pedal-to-the-floor humorist." -- The New York Times Book Review "Outrageous ... It is insulting, inflammatory, profane, and absolutely great reading." -- The Washington Post Book World "A gonzo civics book ... O'Rourke is like a trophy hunter let loose in an unguarded zoo." -- Chicago Tribune

And you think giving to the PAC is a waste of time. You just as well use ESP to talk to your senators.....it works just as good as writing a letter and you get the same results.

So, is this a legit reason to not vote Democrat on occasion? I doubt you'll hear any Republican agreeing with Shumer on this. But you can bet that there will be other Dems hopping on this ... I expect Liz Warren to join in; she's pretty socialistic (except for college professor pay)

I'll vote for anyone who promises smaller gov and lower taxes ... I voted for Perot twice and I think that the large number of votes he got woke up both parties to lower spending back in the 90s.
Reading between the lines, Schumer is advocating larger, more intrusive government.
