Guys this is pretty lame. Its like two kids arguing who has the stronger Dad. Both Pilot groups are labor. Both management teams would/will minimize our compensation as much as they could. Fortunately this bickering between both Pilot groups will probably not help them - although if management could get us to demonize each other they might be able to develop that into something they might try to use at a later time.
How about the DAL and Alaska Pilots both agree we fly the routes management picks. We should all stick together - after all we are in the same union.
I have friends at Alaska and they are all great guys. I sure hope they would/might/ maybe say the same things about us that they know at DAL.

I can't speak to your ANC-SEA flights but I know your JNU flights averaged 60-80 pax all summer. By profitable, are you referring to your net income? Or are you referring to how efficiently your company earned that profit? I know the answer already and you should really learn a better way to evaluate a company's awesomeness.

Rome wasn't built in a day and neither will SEA. Time will tell (2 yrs or less IMHO) whether our management or yours made the right choice. Either one of us will be leaving, coming back to redesign our codeshare or coexist. ****ing on each here won't change a damn thing. Happy thanksgiving week to all, even yous Alaskan guys flying to Juno

Here's mine: Starting Central/South America (don't know the destination or departure city yet) in 2015, to be announced sometime this month. Heard it here first, well, except that this rumor has been around for 8+ years, it's really going to happen.

The big rub most of us Delta guys had for the past decade was all the Alaska 737's flying West coast routes with Delta passengers on them. Our contract specifically states that SEA isn't considered a hub just so the Alaska code share would be in compliance. That was harder to swallow than a CRJ flying folks from Pocatello. It's good for us to finally see west coast growth and Delta airplanes (a lot of DCI as well) flying people who buy Delta tickets. That is all.

“Delta hub” means:
ATL, CVG, DTW, JFK, LAX, LGA, MEM, MSP, SLC, and any other airport having a monthly average of at least 100 Delta scheduled flight departures per day.
Exception: SEA is not a Delta hub, regardless of the number of scheduled flight departures.
We have that gem in our contract so you guys could fly all of our West coast passengers for us via the code share.
