Delta 30 Gates In SEA
#385
Having just flown in there last night with winds gusting to 50 knots, y'all can have it, however it's spelled. We'll take SLC and MSP in return. I'm pretty sure we can learn to spell those...
You're welcome!

Hey Cricket......what do your LEC reps and fellow AS pilots (Who are not on probation and actually voted in the last contract) tell about the lack of scope in your contract?

So instead you give it all away to Virgin, Skywest and Compass! Oh, I get it ... Wait a minute, what?
And if I was a Delta CEO, I would start being concerned about Alaska getting closer to "the new" American (an airline poised to emerge from their merger with a better route structure, and let's face it, better uniforms! than Delta) ... I think the Alaska BOD would look at expanding that agreement and becoming a feed for AA, and together put the slap down on the Emperor and his bubbas.

And if you were the Delta CEO?...uh huh, and if I were the Tsar all your bases are belong to us.
Besides, not much "new" about AA just yet, and they still have the "old" US/AWA quagmire stuck to the bottom of their shoe.

So, what you are saying is that to counteract Delta's actions in the wake of AS refusing to expand the feed agreement with Delta is that they are going to do with AA what they refused to do with Delta? Yeah, that makes perfect sense.

Yes we get it, AS scope sucks. As far as our contract, my biggest contention was how our union, the same one representing DAL, sold it and told us we couldn't do any better. That's not their place.
Our scope essentially doesn't exist, afterall, we only have 5 pages right? So since ours doesn't exist, let's talk about yours. How are you all protected when your parent company is a 49% owner in VA? I know there's only a certain amount of "codeshare" allowed but please explain to me how those other seats, without the codeshare on them isn't benefiting Delta. As 49% holder, they are benefiting from EVERY seat they fly & your pilot group is getting screwed. What's next? Buy 49% in an Asian carrier to cover your Pacific routes? RA is a smart guy, he's a lawyer. If he can find a legal loop hole in order to save a buck, you can bet your arse he will. He already is.
Don't remember who, but someone warned us Alaska bubbas of our management buying 787s and and having someone else fly them. Tell me how that's different from your situation? Other than yours is actually happening and ours is hypothetical.
