Here's mine: Starting Central/South America (don't know the destination or departure city yet) in 2015, to be announced sometime this month. Heard it here first, well, except that this rumor has been around for 8+ years, it's really going to happen.
Can't give my source but just wait for Wednesday.

Is that the 50+ year old "re-start our service to Havana" rumor?

I don't know. My guess is SAN or LAX but I think we could also reach it from the bay.

Seems like every time Delta announces new service, we wait a few days and announce something of our own. Perhaps a combo of both our sources.

Maybe yalls will mostly be on Skywest, too.

You might be right. One theory I've heard is opening up the door more to Horizon pilots to transfer over to AS, and essentially shut down that airline while transferring the feed to Skywest. We'll see.

It would be interesting to fly with you as captain:

FO Cricket: I don't know what they taught you at Delta Airlines, but here at Alaska, it is mandatory to put the gear down prior to landing.

Capt BP: Have you even finished OE yet?? I have 15 years flying plus have sold xxx books, blah, blah, blah.

FO Cricket: Great, but I really think we should put the gear down before we land!
Oh, you'd love me. You know you would.

Doesn't the AS scope only include what's on property, and any current orders or something like that? If so, they only have themselves to blame if the announcement is outsourced MRJs from Skywest.

F15Cricket..check-six!

Cause even though you've got DL in your sights, the real threat is the SKW hot-shot right behind you in a shiny new MRJ!
