I always carry a flashlight with me. Not just on walk arounds, but always. Even on off days. Cause you just never know.
Now I know what you're thinking: what about batteries. I already thought of that. Don't need them.
100% self contained, its the only flashlight certified by the state of Alaska (true story). Here's how it works:
Here's how you use it. Well this is how I use it anyway.
Then when you're done with your walk around, mic drop it in the Captain's lap to signify all systems go. 60% of the time it works every time.

As for the flashlight. I've already withdrawn the competent comment. I agree the 757,767 is less likely to benefit from a flight on a walk around. But I still think a light can come in handy on a walk around on other airplanes and definitely the 737. I don't really care anymore as you idiots seem quite tickled with this thread and making fun of my assertion. So be it. I guess I'll just back off all my claims to, "It can't hurt."
