Anyway, as for the flat struts. The landing was normal. I didn't notice any problem taxiing out. If They were flat at that point I probably should have. Perhaps they had something left. It seems very unlikely they all went flat after departure or after the landing. The temperature was 50° or so at both airports. We boarded via a jet way before departure and used a stair when I noticed the flat struts. I have no explanation.
The biggest screw up came later when they sent a mechanic down to fix it. He check if PSG had nitrogen before he left JNU but forgot to check or assumed they had a connector hose to fill the struts. They did not. We ended up overnighting in PSG and ferrying the next day.
As for the flashlight. I've already withdrawn the competent comment. I agree the 757,767 is less likely to benefit from a flight on a walk around. But I still think a light can come in handy on a walk around on other airplanes and definitely the 737. I don't really care anymore as you idiots seem quite tickled with this thread and making fun of my assertion. So be it. I guess I'll just back off all my claims to, "It can't hurt."
