Virgin America may stay grounded

And, of course, to encourage others to do the same.

Nope, and especially not from slime like you. My opinions are just that...my opinions. They have nothing to do with where I work and they're obviously not shared by management since they have allowed virtually all CASS participants access to the program.

again guys... shooting the messenger is not an argument. In an environment where WN is able to pay very good salaries to their pilots and turn a profit as an LCC, there is no benefit to us pilots to allow yet another Jet Blue to come in at 1/2 the price/benefits..
Wage pressure is a real economic phenomenon, and airlines have to pay (with in a certain standard deviation) of what their competitors pay otherwise there will be wage cuts at the higher paying entity.
Look at Fedex & UPS.. Look at the Legacy's (most of them pay in the same range).. and even my own ACMI world. There is a certain pay that is expected for a certain type of job. If your company isn't in bankruptcy or in eminent danger of liquidation, the pay should be going up, not down....
Virgin has a big brand name and as a start up, they'd probably do well.. so why should they be paying lower wages than some airlines operation in (or fresh out of) BK?

Every time I see you've posted I chuckle before I even start reading. Your childish outbursts sound like something you'd hear on an elementary school playground. Ouch those names you call me sure hurt. Maybe you'd be taken more seriously if you debated more like an adult.

Childishness is a two way street my fellow pilot.

I'll have to review my previous posts to see if I have shown immaturity in the manner in which I post. If so I'll give myself a good thrashing and send myself to bed with no dinner.
Yep. I'm guilty. No dinner for me tonight. Still, some folks go way overboard.

Get over the "tone" thing, will you? If you can't handle it unvarnished then go over to the Fluffball forum and hold your pinkie up while you sip your tea.
A large part of the reason we all find ourselves in a spiraling career that has lost anywhere from 25% to 100% or more of its value is that for too long we cared more about mincing the message for the Delicate Sensibilities of the Mushy Middle than we did about actually mounting an effective defense of our profession.
What is the good of all this reticent manner? So, you have the satisfaction of saying: "Well, I lost the entire value of my career and I stand at Wal-Mart all day in my orange vest and soft-soled shoes, but at least I conducted a civil discourse..."
Time to speak our minds and let the chips fall. If we discover that we all care more about decorum than substance, well, then, I guess we deserve to be the doormats of the professional world.

So if you have a difference with your boss, union leadership, passenger or whomever else do you go in and start firing words like slime, *********, scumbag, or whatever else comes to mind? As your unvarnished rhetoric takes over it weakens your cause, not just on this forum but in legitimate discussions as well.
So no I won't get over it. But I'm officially bored of this discussion so I'm out. Say what you want.
