The same applies to pilot wives

Thank you for your service!

FYI - Spirit has hired ex-Avantiar P180 drivers and the upgrade is 3-4 years. Network like heck and keep trying... Good luck!

Ummmm no. That post shows a severe lack of judgment, but coming from you, not surprising. To illustrate the point. You'll "retire" with wife number 4 at age 65 still hoping to get your Social Security check to make ends meet. I'll easily be able to retire with wife number 1 at 55 to my 50 foot sailboat in the Bahamas....

Obviously the joke went right over your head. You realize not everything on APC is written seriously?

I guess I have been around long enough to have heard that spoken in all seriousness. My bad.

Back to the regularly scheduled programming for this thread.

Well, I'll ask the question: Is that what you are planning on doing? If so, good for you and good luck!

DAL is a matrix score, IP and PIC time, GPA X Major credit, community service, check airman/NATOPS instructor, etc. It's not just one thing. I got hired with a 2.83 in Mech Engr from a major engineering school, 2500 hours 1/2 single seat 1/2 instructor. Safety officer that probably off set the low GPA. My class had others with less hours, better GPA, or same GPA easier major with more hours. They have 10,000+ apps, and haven't gone through more than about 10% at the most I would think. I think they are hiring leadership right now, because in <10 years, the guys getting hired now are going to be capt's flying with much less qualified FO's as the "pilot shortage" drives much lower minimums for hiring in ten years.

Wutever how long was your app in and any internal recs? Out of curiosity are you a Meridian IP? The rumor mill at my reserve unit in Pensacola is that the Meridian has had a lot of guys get picked up.
