Who's been hired? [New Employer Can ID You!]

I believe it could often be like getting a certain MOS out of The Basic School for the Marines or a certain airframe out of flight school for any service. Often it isn't/wasn't your first choice, but you end up loving the community with which you live and work, you learn the mission (all have their pros/cons) and you eventually are proud of the job you do and enjoy the people you work with and are happy. There will be some who continue to covet the other job/airframe. Some of them will move given the opportunity. Some will make the right move, some will regret the move because it wasn't what they imagined.
Tough choices to make - but at least you are in the position to make them and that is more than many can wish for at the present time.

Ghilis,
That is also why I asked, Are you going to take the job at DL? You should go to where you really want to go. It seems like Brand X is really your first choice. Life is too short, dont settle or waste your time on things that arent your true intention. Good Luck.

I couldn't be happier about the idea of working for DAL. Like slice said, theyre the industry leader, they have a great culture, and my seniority in NYC will skyrocket. I was so impressed with how professional and nice everyone was in Atlanta, I was sold! Sometimes we inadvertently find ourselves in a position that ends up benefiting us more than we thought
And as a bonus, Im excited to wear the ALPA pin!

Definitely taking the job at DAL and not looking back. I just had a conversation with a buddy who has been hired by both DAL and AA, and he has a very tough decision to make, I don't envy him! My buddy at UAL told me he wanted AA when he was hired back in 2000, and 2 of his other buddies wanted UAL and DAL respectively. In the end, all 3 got hired, but not by their dream airline, and never got a call to interview by their #1, but they learned to love where theyre at (despite the furloughs).

A buddy of mine got the job this week and AK told him they are in crisis mode and he should expect a class date in July. I think you might get a class date a lot sooner than expected. Compass holding their flow through pilots back 90 days has caused DAL to move a lot faster than they were planning.

Anybody know how college GPA impacts DAL interview chances? I realize it's just another qualifier/discriminator, but wondering if a low GPA may put you in a do not call pile? My quals: (All mil, F-15c, T38)
3300 TT
1700 IP/FE
3000 PIC
All ME turb
Masters
The 2.3 undergrad GPA has me concerned- even though it was 20 yrs ago
