Meanwhile as taxpayers we pony up another $2,000,000.00 for some other guy to test airplanes.

The government needs to learn from bottom feeders and have a training contract in place.

YGTBSM. I am speechless. Just ignore this bitter TOTD

We have lots of training contracts. Any new training in the AF incurs a 3 year contract. Not arguing about the absurdity of manning and moves in and out, just pointing out we do have plenty of training contracts.

That's a pretty ignorant thing to say.

They do have contracts... They're called service commitments. Most pilots have ones that take them 10-12 years in the service, which often amounts to spending years away from the luxuries of home in austere environments.

If you really don't your tax dollars being spent on the military, renounce your citizenship and call it a day. Otherwise don't **** on other peoples paths in life and they won't be as inclined to **** on yours.

That's pretty drastic. Before renouncing one's citizenship you could do plenty else... Like vote, write your representatives, create petitions, voice your opinion, you know, American things.

If you don't like something, giving up your citizenship is the LAST thing you should do.

I fulfilled my contact, actually I have had five and all fulfilled (commission, flight training, grad school, GI bill, and TPS). I have done what the government has asked, so go screw yourself.

But your probably right, we should absolutely take the Berny approach and put longer contacts in place, take away more money, and punish successful dudes (and chics) even more; because moral and manning doesn't have enough issues. The AF is on the verge of a stop loss and I don't think the other services are far behind. Or how about let's look at the actual cause and fix the damn problem. Your clueless like many voters in the US, keep trying to figure out how your going to make that ice cream cone lick itself.

And I don't just feed from the bottom, I eat everything I can.

They should impose a long enough contract to prevent people just taking the training and quitting. I'd make it a minimum of 10-11 years. That will weed out the guys just in it for the free training!

You are dumb enough to think USNTPS only costs $2M/student?? That's a hoot. Uncle Sugar gots that in his couch cushions! There's only one among thousands in the USN that can hack that training (out of one in a million who are Naval Aviators). Don't complain about that which you can not even comprehend! Rant over..

What don't you get about TAC's reply? People don't "quit", they fulfill service obligations incurred due to specialized training and schooling. He did so; he fulfilled his end of the agreement.

Uh huh, military training is free... Talk to the many vets over the years that have lost friends and colleagues in the prime of their life. Free for sure...
