I heard about this guy/gal in a jump seat:

DAL
26 yr old
2500 TT
500 121
All civilian
Hired back in the 2 quarter
Unbelievable but the crew swore by it

I've met such a person myself. A very attractive female. Who, as a matter of fact, took the jumpseat from my lowly regional self and proceeded to explain to me the protocol. (Because my 31 year old self wouldn't understand without her explaining it to me...)

This was several years ago.

I wouldn't buy it.

Lots of volunteer work (kittens especially), > 3.0 GPA from a well known school, networked every chance I could, no training failures.

Sounds about right. Had someone like this come from Compass. Well connected, FltOps intern, OBAP 737 scholarship winner.
