Current stats:
Resume shows 2383, all but 70 military or contractor flying under .mil rules. I have more time, but it's civil helo, therefore, not even worth recreating burnt logbooks.

12 years Active Duty Navy. 3 years Reserves. Currently a Reserve Squadron XO.

1550 Fixed Wing
1250 FW Multi (all but 5 turbine)
820 Turbine Helo

780 E-2C
705 SH60B/F
550 King Air 90/300/350/T44A
130 T-34C
106 T-45A/C
Some odd hours in other random stuff.

440 hours in last year.

AMEL ATP. B737 Type
Comm Helo/ASEL
Current Class 1
RT Permit
3.45 GPA in Mechanical Engineering. Not a Canoe U grad.

I get regionals cold calling me. Not a peep from a major.

It's borderline frustrating that my hours doing laps in the pattern in a C-152 count, but hundreds of hours flying SH-60s off of boats, low altitude, overwater, at night, at speeds a 152 could only get to in a Vne Dive, don't.

3,150 TT
1,250 C-17
1,400 T-6
225 BD-700 (currently flying)
1,000 IP / 125 EP
Masters, Class I, ATP, CFI/II, etc
Clean background
4x internal recs

Thanks again!
You're on the right track getting your app in nearly a year before you are available, and having all your boxes checked in regards to the Class I, and the ATP. Make sure you have a current passport, and the FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator's Permit as well. I was in your shoes last year this time, deployed in the mighty BACN, and working on my apps. Over the next few months, keep shaking the trees and see who else you can find in your background that can be a recommendation for you. Update your apps at least once a month. I chose to update after every flight. I got an interview invite from Delta about two months out from my available date.

Not sure helo counts for a lot in 121. What I don't see is IP/Evauator, PIC. 1250 FW with no PIC is nothing special. That would put you in the pool with brand new 121 regional FOs.

Didn't do an IP tour. Other than training command as a student, I was in operational units the whole time I was in.

Thank you for your service.

Resume looks good but while you are waiting, I would pick a top notch Regional, apply and get hired. While you are in training with this Regional, update-update-update your Legacy Air Line apps.

Before you know it, the Legacies will hunt you down.

Good Luck,

TEN

FWTPIC?

You either stay with Contract gig or have to go regionals. If you can stand it stay put for the PIC and better pay. Plus a better commute!

Thought about rushing a VR squadron? If not for the time then for the contacts. Otherwise mine the NOSC. Ask for help.

The 500 is FWTPIC. 400 is multi.

When you fly multi crew aircraft, you don't get more.

The regional airlines just are not an option.

We're a single income family and there's no way to support a family on regional pay.

I plan on staying with the contract gig for now, but from a family standpoint I can't do this forever. Another year or two, yes. Another five years, no.
