Default 5 DEC -- Support Pinnacle

1) The significance of helping out the pilots of Pinnacle Airlines at tomorrow’s (Dec 5) rally here in Memphis may be lost on some FedEx pilots, flush with satisfaction and relief that we have a new contract and the Holiday season only bodes for more success at FedEx. It may be hard to relate in these days and times but the struggles of one professional airline group are, in some ways, sooner or later, the struggles of us all.
Some of you have offspring or other relatives flying at Pinnacle and I’m sure you grasp their situation well. For the rest of us, making a case for participating in their efforts can be more of a challenge. But they are, for the most part, younger professionals trying to broker better, or sometimes just livable, conditions for themselves. There should be something in that effort that we can appreciate.
Pilots who live in the Memphis area are asked to come to the Holiday Inn Select Airport, 2240 Democrat Road, Memphis, TN at 9:30 am, or, if arriving after that time, to the Courtyard by Marriott – 1780 Nonconnah Blvd. Memphis, TN – for preparation and picketing.

I'll be in GDL -- anybody wanna borrow my hat?

I was there today. About 150 pilots from MANY different carriers, even a SW flight attendant and a UPS pilot. There was a huge inflatable rat put up right next to the entrance to the company HQ. Fairly impressive turnout I thought.

Oh yeah, wore my own hat! First time I've worn it, walked the last line without one, but figured since I had some uni bank left I would let the company buy me one and a jacket too.
