We have Jump seat ETIQUETTE.

Ya, I'm old... They didn't have 250hr RJ Pilots running around thinking they where Gods gift to Aviation when I started.
CFI, Single pilot night freight in a BE-18 etc.
So dress smart, have your papers ready and say " May I ride your jump seat SIR/MAM"? When you get off " Thank you again for letting me ride YOUR jump seat".
you sound like an awesome guy to fly with...

Agree with John Doe. People seem to have forgotten that not to long ago, early to mid 90's, there was no jumpseat.
Eastern, Pan AM, TWA, United and a few others allowed it but AA and Delta did not.
Do not abuse it!! And act respectful.

You mad bro? I was thinking of jumpseating with my baby and my cat. I promise neither will be loud.

Just make sure the baby offers a Starbucks to the Gate Agent and a box of chocolates to the Lead FA. Cat will get royal treatment - no questions asked.

Bringing a cat along? Clearly we aren't talking about jumpseating on SWA then.
