As a 1M Miler on Delta and a frequent BC and FC flier on EK I can say there is no comparison between DL and EK. EK has over 1400 channels of entertainment. A 25" TV in FC. The seats are not even close when comfort is compared and the food is way better on EK.
Also, I hate to say it, but the Cabin Staff on EK is where they really shine. Attentive, professional and attractive don't begin to describe them!
I fly DL as much as I can, but you really are comparing Apples and Oranges. I will add that DL does a great overall job as far as US carriers are concerned.

So I guess you don't fly any US airline except SWA? Good luck getting to Europe, Africa, Asia, S America on them. Or, you could give your money to a foreign enterprise that is state supported and buys their airplanes with US tax payers dollars.

That's like someone at a low wage, low benefit LCC, particularly a younger one, pointing out with extreme righteousness that their airline "never" imposed a paycut and in fact has given out raises, and then using that little out of context factoid as proof of integral superiority. Shirley you see the irony in that.

Enough of the chest beating already. Services provided by US carriers is sinking to that one would be glad to experience from a third world carrier. US carriers need to take back their criteria of rules for employment for both front and back end crews back into their folds of control. US carriers need to design and present a product that is competitive with the likes of EK, EY, QR, CX, SIA, to name a few.
Until the US carriers build that better mouse trap, don't expect much rallying the traveling public. Personally when traveling back to the US on my blocks off, I avoid the disappointing service, lame excuses, ratty interiors That US carriers have to offer. I have my company buy my business class tickets on airlines that also employ US expats who take pride in who they fly for, and what they do, along with cabin crew that present themselves in the most professional manner without excess henna or other strange chemical dyes in their hair, or sporting sneakers while working their shifts on the long haul flight. I get enough of the bad vibes, crappy attitudes and service and frumpy appearances from my gateway airport to my home town airport. Luckily it's only about an hour and half I have to tolerate to my home airport.
I would like to see the US dominate the skies of yesteryear with the likes of Pan Am, and TWA. DAL, UAL, and AA have that opportunity. Let's hope than can regain that control.

This thread is funny.
You guys might as well fight which car is better, a Pinto or a BMW.
In this example EK offers a BMW for a price of a pinto (US carriers)
WORLD AIRLINE AWARDS | the Passengers Choice Awards
funny not a single US carrier
Fact is we have a long ways to go to improve the product that is offered here
